A Florida man stole the automotive of a great Samaritan who pulled over to examine on him after he wrecked his automotive — solely to die in a crash moments later.
A 35-year-old girl was driving alongside State Highway 50 in Brooksville — about 70 miles west of Orlando — when she noticed a GMC Sierra that had crashed into the site visitors median at round 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, The Information & Observer reported, citing Florida Freeway Patrol.
After she pulled over to research the wreck, the Sierra’s driver, a 29-year-old man from Dade Metropolis, “arrived on foot” and stole her automotive, a Chevy HHR, leaving her stranded on the darkish freeway, based on the state company.
The Dade Metropolis man took off within the Chevy westbound on State Highway 50 and misplaced management simply three miles later.
He crossed the middle median into oncoming site visitors and collided “head-on” with a tractor-trailer, freeway patrol stated.
He was not carrying a seat belt on the time of the collision and “suffered deadly accidents,” authorities stated.
The tractor-trailer driver, a 45-year-old Plant Metropolis man, sustained minor accidents.
The id of the carjacker has not been launched.
