Politicians, police, border brokers and trade representatives are assembly to debate methods to fight a spike in stolen vehicles throughout the nation.
The federal authorities says an estimated 90,000 vehicles are stolen yearly, leading to about $1 billion in prices to Canadian insurance coverage policy-holders and taxpayers.
Organized crime teams are more and more getting concerned, with most stolen autos being shipped overseas.
