A 23-year-old man from Harrington was killed Saturday night time whereas trying to cross an intersection in Ellendale.
Delaware State Police are investigating a collision between a pedestrian and a 2005 Toyota Avalon which occurred at 11:16 p.m. Saturday.
In response to police, the Avalon was touring southbound on Dupont Boulevard within the left southbound lane. One other car was stopped at a crimson gentle within the westbound lane of Milton Ellendale Freeway whereas automobiles on Dupont Boulevard handed through the inexperienced gentle. Police stated a passenger exited the car ready on the crimson gentle and walked into the trail of the oncoming Avalon ensuing within the collision. The 23-year-old pedestrian was pronounced useless on the scene. Authorities will not be releasing the pedestrian’s title pending the notification the following of kin.

The 32-year-old driver of the Toyota sustained minor accidents within the crash.
The authorities closed the roadway for roughly three hours to analyze the scene and clear particles from the street. The Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident.
