Two folks have been killed and 9 others have been hospitalized after a 35-vehicle pile up Saturday morning on a foggy portion of Interstate 5 west of Bakersfield, Kern County fireplace officers stated.
A closure stays in place Saturday evening on southbound Interstate 5 between Millux Street and Outdated River Street, in accordance with Caltrans. Southbound visitors was being diverted to eastbound Freeway 223.
Emergency responders have been referred to as to southbound I-5 close to Millux Street for a collision at round 7:30 a.m. Caltrans stated the pileup occurred throughout foggy circumstances. Jim Calhoun with the Kern County Hearth Division informed media visibility was right down to about 10 ft when fireplace crews arrived to the “chaotic” scene.
