On sale on 2024 as the 2025 Volvo EXC30, the new entry level Volvo has a lot going on. It’ll be one of the fastest Volvo models even in base trim. 268 HP RWD will be standard with a 5.1 second 0-60 run while the dual motor model drops that down to 3.4 seconds thanks to a whopping 422 ponies. The interior is Scandinavian Chic with a focus on sustainability, recyclability and low emissions. Volvo says in fact that the EX30 will have the lowest carbon footprint of any model they have ever produced. More interesting? The base price seems oddly low. It’ll be about $35,000 starting or about $36,500 after destination. That’s less than a 2023 Lexus UX hybrid and significantly less than a Genesis GV60. Mercedes EQB? Way, way more expensive. Clearly there are tradeoffs, like only one set of window switches and only a central LCD, but I think I could live with that…
