The radical three-row electric SUV from Kia has surfaced in Australia and goes on sale in October 2023. With the absence of the Tesla Model X the EV9 will stand alone as the only plus-sized family hauling EV on offer.
Editor Tom Baker takes a deep dive of the 2024 EV9 GT-Line and finds out how the funky electric SUV model has been adapted for the Australian market. It features a 99.8kWh battery and promises a range of around 500 kilometres.
The EV9 will be sold in a number of different trim grades and will be powered by a choice of single-motor RWD or dual-motor AWD. It will eventually compete with the yet-to-be-unveiled Hyundai Ioniq 7.
