The 2024 BMW M2 coupe is worth getting up early for. After all, the first-generation model quickly established itself as a classic, so this new second-generation successor has some big shoes to fill.
But it should have no trouble rising to the occasion, given it’s got a brand-spanking new twin-turbo petrol inline six-cylinder engine to play with, while a rear-wheel-drive layout has been maintained to ensure it remains as playful as possible.
That said, is the new M2 as good in reality as it is on paper? In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Andrew Chesterton finds out by putting the sports car through its paces. Spoiler alert: it’s a better bet than its M4 big brother!
