The Toronto Police Service updated the public on an arrest made in relation to a spree of carjackings.
On Saturday, September 10, 2022, police responded to a person with a knife call in the Pharmacy Avenue and Sesame Street area.

On Friday, August 19, 2022, police responded to a person with a gun call in the Meadowvale Road and Sheppard Avenue East area.

As a result of an ongoing investigation by the Toronto Police Service’s Hold Up Squad, two suspects were identified.
On Thursday, September 29, 2022, officers executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at a residence, where one suspect was located and taken into custody.
It is further alleged that:
during the search, clothing worn by the woman during some of the robberies was seized
Valerie Torres-Lizcano, 18, of Toronto, was arrested. She has been charged with:
three counts of Robbery With Firearm
Robbery With Offensive Weapon
four counts of Disguise With Intent
four counts of Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
two counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
She attended court on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at the Old City Hall Court, 60 Queen Street West, room 114.
A second suspect has been identified as Jasmine Oung, 18, of York Region.
She is wanted for:
Robbery with an offensive weapon
Conspiracy to commit an Indictable Offence
An image has been released.
She is urged to contact a lawyer and turn herself into the nearest police station.
